Our Process

Made in
Sialkot

Sialkot has been the world's leather capital for over two centuries. Every Suave jacket is made there — by hand, to order, by craftspeople who have spent lifetimes perfecting the work.

The City of Leather

Sialkot, Pakistan —
where the craft was born.

Sialkot is a city in Punjab, Pakistan, with a population of around 700,000 people — and an outsized place in global manufacturing. The city produces an estimated 40% of the world's leather outerwear, exported to Europe, North America, and beyond.

The leather trade here predates partition. Workshops passed from father to son now supply major international brands, yet the core techniques — hide selection, pattern cutting, saddle stitching — have remained unchanged for generations. What has changed is precision: today's Sialkot craftsperson works to tolerances measured in millimetres.

Suave was built on a direct relationship with a small workshop on the outskirts of the city — no middlemen, no intermediary brand, no outsourced quality control. We specify every detail: hide grade, stitch count, hardware weight, lining type. The people who make your jacket are the same people we speak to.
